Kim Trusty & The Soul Food Kitchen Band 7/18


The dynamic and multifaceted Kim Trusty is a powerful and diverse vocalist, songwriter, guitarist and actress. Kim draws on jazz, rhythm & blues, vocal improvisation, roots, rock and undemanding lyrics, bringing her life, heart and work experiences into unforgettable and unique performances.


Trusty, who began singing more than 30 years ago in an all-black Baptist church in rural Pennsylvania, has evolved into one of the hottest acts on the stage today. The talented vocalist, songwriter, guitarist, and actress has appeared on stages from New Orleans to Montreal. Her latest CD, “Sweet Novena,” a tribute to her late grandmother, was released in September 2005.
Trusty is a Berklee College of Music graduate and now lives in Providence.


She has opened for Paula Cole, Taj Mahal,Rick Danko and Richie Havens. Kim’s performance style is completely unique and unforgettable to the senses. With a captivating stage presence, soulful lyrics and a showstopping voice, Kim Trusty’s act keeps you on the edge of your seat (if you’re not dancing).
Kim and her Soul Food Kitchen Band are playing at Grumpy's tomorrow night, Friday, 7/18, at 9:30 pm. There is a $5.00 cover at the door, but you may be able to pick a some free tickets around town. Try either of the Coffee Obsessions (Falmouth and Woods Hole) and the Woods Hole Market.
